Louise V. (VanHart) Ewell

Louise V. (VanHart) Ewell, 86, of Windsor, passed away ay WellSpan York Hospital on April 22, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Galey E. Ewell.

Ms. Ewell was born on May 3, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Weldon and Nora (Lane) Van Hart.

Louise previously worked for Wolf Brothers in Red Lion and later retired from Danskin. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist in Brogue. Lousie enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children, James Ewell, Diane Ewell, Sandra Barrett and Steve Ewell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shery Krout, Jenny Koontz, and Linda Tirado-Lopez; great grandchildren, Tiffany Lubking, Dylan Koontz, Jase Koontz, Aspen Koontz, Mya Tirado- Lopez and Jaden Tirado-Lopez; a great-great granddaughter, Saraya Lubking; as well as her siblings, Preston VanHart, Marvin VanHart, Clarence VanHart, Paul VanHart, Walter VanHart, Carol VanHart, Velma Taylor, Lawrence VanHart and Joyce VanHart. In addition to her husband, she was preceded and death by a brother, Raymond VanHart and a sister, Mildred Aubel.

A service to honor Louise’s s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Pastor Steven A. Schmuck officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
