On April 24, 2024, Ann Elizabeth Stone, beloved wife of William (Bill) Innes Stone, passed away at home at the age of sixty-five after a long, courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Ann and Bill recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Ann was the stepmother of Nathan William Stone (Alicia) and Sean Andrew Stone (Mary) and step-grandparent to Aiden and Connor Stone.

She was born August 24, 1958, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John F. and Mary E. (Wood) Balzano. Husband William (Bill) Stone survives her. Also surviving are six siblings: Dr. Patricia Sanker, Mechanicsburg, PA; Christine Fuoss (Mark, MD), Sewickley, PA; Jane Stitko (Donald), Gallitzin, PA; John Balzano of Altoona, PA; Judith Tucci (Leo) Absecon, NJ; and Martha Schwing, Elizabethtown, PA. Ann was pre-deceased by her sister Molly Tomaino (Mario). Nine nephews, two nieces, and six great nephews and nieces also survive Ann.

Ann was member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, York, PA. She was also an avid golfer and member of Briarwood Golf Club. After 35 years of teaching, Ann retired from the Northern York County School District. During her retirement she and Bill enjoyed traveling and playing golf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market St., York, PA at 11:00 am on Monday, April 29, 2024. Friends will be received at the church 30 minutes prior to the Mass. A burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Keffer Funeral Home in York, PA is assisting with the arrangements
