Peggy Jane Bauer

Peggy Jane Bauer, age 91, of York, passed away on May 4, 2024 at Autumn House West in York.

Peggy was born in Huntingdon, PA and was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Bauer. She taught physical education at Tyrone High School then moved on to office administration both at a private company in State College and Penn State University. Earlier in her life she enjoyed numerous visits to New England and, of course, spending time with her doggies. More recently, Peggy enjoyed working on all kinds of puzzles "to keep her mind active."

Peggy is survived by her brother John Bauer; her nieces Kate and Patty; and her nephews Peter and Rick. She was preceded in death by her brother Chuck Bauer who passed away in 2016.

Following cremation, Peggy will be laid to rest next to her parents in Centre Hall, PA at a future date. Professional services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York.
