William H. Eater, II

William H. Eater, II, age 76, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 1:44 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy. He was the husband of Doris A. (Frey) Eater.

Born April 9, 1948, in York, the only child of the late William H. and Dolores R. (Urey) Eater, he worked for McCrory Distribution as a manager for many years until its closure. He then worked for Tasty Snack as a delivery driver, and later retired from Bowlers Supply. After retirement he worked for Apple Chevrolet as a parts delivery driver. He was a member of the Donkey Club, Victory Athletic Association, and the Staff Electronic Darts League.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, Mr. Eater is survived by a stepson, Shannon L. Frey, of New Freedom; and three grandchildren, Lexis Frey, of York, Mariah Frey, of Alaska, and Kaylee Frey, of Dallastown.

Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements.
